Not everyone is lucky… Even if the stars are working in your favor, there is a still a possibility that you might not hit the jackpot. This is the similar case with these Bollywood superstars who are and were the reigning stars, always hysterically collecting great box-office reviews and moolah. Yet there’s something that they have always missed winning the much reputed Black Lady of Honor.
If you always thought that it is the box office collection and the stardom that drives the award, then this list is going to change the way you think. Because the names we are going to mention is of superstars who are continuously in the altar yet cannot covert it into a winning spree.
So, here goes the list
1. Dharmendra
Dharmendra engraved a special place in the heart of its audience, his box office collection went berserk, always on the high side. The actor gave us some stupendous hits like Sholay, Seeta Geeta, Bandhini and even after being nominated several times, he always went back home without the black lady. It was after 37 years that he steeped up on the dais and accepted the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award…
2. Akshay Kumar
The Khiladi of Bollywood, the ever handsome and fit daredevil, and a great actor… All these adjectives are in his credit.. But no Filmfare Award in his kitty. Akshay Kumar is in Bollywood for more than a decade and has been a part of some breathtaking movies like Namastey London, Mohra, Special26, and many more. The much disciplined and our favorite actor do not need an award to prove his mantle.
3. Katrina Kaif
Well, the actress is said to have one grave expression to everything. But then if you go by the record most of her movies have been super hit, and she is continuously trying to evolve as an actress, but We guess no one is noticing. Katrina gave us some really good view in Namastey London, seemed like the role was tailor-made for her, and then Rajneeti & New York.. But the lady is still deprived of a Black Lady. We just hope her ‘Fitoor’ act make her win one.. Not the National Award, obviously (Pun Intended) 😀
4. Sonam Kapoor
The glamorous babes of Bollywood and the ‘You know what I mean’ star has always outspoken about her personal and professional commitments, at times more than required. She has been a Red Carpet cynosure both in India and on International waters. She is even part of some of great Endorsements, but if we see, there’s only one movie where we can think she did a fair job.. Ranjhana.. (Can you think of any other?).. Whereas her counterpart Deepika Padukone has been sweeping the awards in a whirlwind and also fabulous projects worldwide.
5. Govinda
The Chi Chi of Bollywood and the most loved actor of 90’s, also never won a Filmfare Award. He was rage in the 90’s with biggest hits every year. All his roles are still memorable and especially the dance moves and his infamous dressing style. Be it Aunty no.1. Hero No.1, or Coolie No. 1.. Govinda was a No.1 choice for any kind of role. But even after being so talented, we don’t know why there’s no Black Lady awarded to him. Much Sigh!!
