The device is expected to cost approximately $65 or Rs. 4,000.
According to Gizchina (via Mydrivers), the Chinese firm that is often called China’s Apple recently invested in a chipmaker named Leadcore, and the rumoured Xiaomi smartphone is likely to be based on the new Leadcore chipset.
The Leadcore chipset is said to be built on 28 nm fabrication processor and uses a 6 Cortex A7 cores clocked at 2.0 GHz, and is powerful enough to fuel a 2K Display. The SoC also supports both TDD LTE and FDD LTE, thus making upcoming Xiaomi smartphone the cheapest LTE enabled device so far. Graphics will be handled by Mali T628 GPU.
As of now, information about the $65 Xiaomi smartphone is limited.
