Star Indian cricketer and former captain Virat Kohli is one of the most popular cricketers of the country but there are strong rumours that he may shift to London after taking retirement from all the formats of the game.
Recently, Virat Kohli’s childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma gave an interview and as per him, Virat along with his wife and actress Anushka Sharma and their two children – Vamika and Akaay intends to settle permanently in the European city. Rajkumar shared this information in an interview with a leading publication. Rajkumar said in the interview that Virat will be leaving India and soon settle in London with his family.
Virat Kohli, who grew up in Delhi and later moved to Mumbai, has built a life marked by significant milestones. He married Anushka Sharma in December 2017 in a private ceremony in Italy. The couple welcomed their first child named Vamika in January 2021. Their second child Akaay was born on February 15, 2024, in London, during which Virat Kohli missed the five-match test series against England.
During the interview, Rajkumar also addressed questions about Virat Kohli’s cricketing form and potential retirement plans. He dismissed any concerns, expressing confidence in Virat Kohli’s ability to continue performing at the highest level. Rajkumar mentioned that Virat Kohli is currently in great form and predicted that he will score two more centuries in the remaining test matches of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
Rajkumar Sharma said that Virat Kohli knows how to deal with pressure and he also knows how to perform and make his team win in challenging situations. The coach also stated that Kohli, who is still very fit, has several years of cricket left in him. He believes that Virat will continue playing for India for another five years and even feature in the 2027 ODI World Cup. The coach concluded by saying that he knows Virat Kohli for 26 years and there is still a lot of cricket remaining in him.
