Recently, India played a warm up match against Cricket Australia XI, and the BCCI posted live updates of the match throughout, beginning from the coin toss.
The BCCI posted,
CA XI have won the toss and will field first #TeamIndia pic.twitter.com/J8fb8BJp8x

The picture posted by BCCI showed Virat Kohli in shorts, which apparently angered a lot of netizens on Twitter. He received a lot of flak for it and people even called him disrespectful.
The fans pointed out that cricket is called a gentleman’s game and that a certain code of decorum must be maintained at all costs. Virat Kohli stepping out in shorts creates a bad impression and makes him seem disrespectful as well.
People are also comparing Kohli to previous sportsmen and their dressing sense, which was considered to be graceful. One tweet read, “Disgraceful and disrespectful… There was time captains used to wear Blazers during toss…. This behavior is absolutely unpardonable….”
