Bollywood actor Vikrant Massey’s fans were quite upset after he made a post in which he stated that he is taking retirement from acting but now they can breathe a sigh of relief.
Recently, Vikrant Massey cleared the air regarding his viral social media post, which led to widespread speculation about his retirement. During an interaction, Vikrant emphasised that he is not retiring but simply taking a much-needed break from his acting career.
Addressing the rumours, Vikrant said that he is not retiring; he is burned out and is taking a long break. He added that he is missing health and home and people misread his social media post. He further explained that his intention was never to suggest he was leaving acting permanently.
“The Sabarmati Report” actor issued a statement to elaborate on his decision, highlighting that acting remains his passion. The statement read that acting is the only thing he can do and acting has given him everything which he has but his mental and physical health are not fine because of which he wants to take some time off and he also wants to improve his craft. He added that currently he is feeling monotonous but he will be back when time will be right.
In the early hours of Monday, Vikrant took to Instagram to share his decision, expressing a need to “recalibrate and go back home”. He explained that spending quality time with his family is his current priority as he wants to fulfill his roles as a husband, father and son. Vikrant also revealed that he has two films yet to release, after which he plans to take a break.
The announcement sparked varied responses online. While many fans supported Vikrant’s decision, some speculated it might be a publicity stunt. Vikrant has chosen not to address such speculation but has remained focused on his personal and professional priorities.
Despite the announcement, Vikrant made a public appearance at a special screening of The Sabarmati Report on Monday evening in New Delhi. The event, held at the Balyogi Auditorium in Parliament Complex Library, was attended by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and NDA MPs.
Vikrant shared photos from the event on Instagram, marking his first appearance since his announcement. He captioned it as, “A day to remember for the rest of my life, Eternally grateful to the Hon. Prime Minister @narendramodi Ji for sparing the time to watch our movie, Your words of appreciation shall never be forgotten. #TheSabarmatiReport”
