Aylan Kurdi, a Syrian kid of 3 years whose death compelled the whole world to think and solve the refugee crisis of Syria, has also find place in the cartoons of French magazine Charlie Hebdo, which has made fun of his death.
The French magazine was in news when it faced a terrorist attack at its headquarters in Paris, eight months back in January and now it is back in news with two controversial cartoons which are making fun of Aylan’s death. Aylan with his 5 year old brother and mother, was found dead on the Turkish beach when his family was trying to reach the Greek Island of Kos, only his father, Abdullah survived.
Charlie Hebdo has received sharp response on the social media on their cartoons, which have been termed as disrespectful by the online users.
The first cartoon titled “So Close to His Goal” showed Aylan lying dead with his face towards the ground near to an advertisement board of a 2-for-1 McDonald Happy Meal, which means “two children’s menus for the price of one.”
The title of the second cartoon is “The Proof that Europe is Christian”. This second cartoon shows a little kid getting drowned in the waters and on the left side a man is standing on the waters, who is presumed to be Jesus, the cartoon says saying “Christians walk on waters… Muslims kids sink.”
