Former Indian cricketer Chetan Chauhan has been appointed as the chairman of National Institute of Fashion Technology and this appointment has raised many eyebrows as there is no connection between Chauhan and fashion.
Just like cricketers and their fans used to make objections to the selection of politicians as heads of cricketing associations, now everyone is questioning the selection of a cricketer for heading a post related to fashion institute.
Chetan Chauhan made a mockery of himself more when he said that he has got this post as he belongs to the ruling party BJP.
“This is a Government of India appointment. The names (for the post of chairman) are sent by the Ministry of Textiles…preference is given to people in the party (BJP)”.
Here’s Chetan’s views on fashion, “My fashion sense is not being flamboyant but well dressed. I am not dashing fashion-oriented because I have to go with what suits my age. But I like to dress up smartly and well.”
