Megan Mahoney, 24 year former Gym teacher has been arrested on Monday for making physical relations with a male student of the school where she was a teacher earlier. She is being charged with 30 counts of statutory rape and it is said that it has been happening for more than three months, supposedly between Halloween last year and January 9, 2014.
Authorities have maintained that Megan used to teach at Moore Catholic High on Staten Island and she had physical intercourse with a male student of 16 years several times. What’s more surprising is that she had it in the school premises as well.
As per the New York Post, Megan was taken into custody by police on four counts of ‘criminal sexual act’ which means mutual oral sex, and it is said that Megan had made physical relations with the boy for no less than two times weekly.
An ex-girlfriend of the boy saw Megan and boy together at a local pizzeria in the month of January after which Megan resigned from the school. Megan was also the basketball coach of girls’ team. The investigation done by NYPD has revealed that physical intercourse has been performed by both of them at the school also quite a few times.
Presently Megan is released on bail but she may face four years in jail for each charge of felony.
Moore Catholic High School which has 500 students and 28 faculties was founded in 1962.
