Azharuddin, the former captain of Indian team was banned from playing, since he was accused of being involved in the match fixing scandal in the year 2000. Later, as there was lack of evidence against him, his ban was declared illegal & the ban was lifted. Tony D’Souza’s ‘Azhar’ is an attempt to depict his journey and struggles that he faced after the ban.
