Bollywood superstar Salman Khan recently attended the launch of his nephew Ayaan Agnihotri’s latest song “Universal Laws” in Dubai, an event that saw the presence of Bollywood celebrities like Arbaaz Khan, Sohail Khan, Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi. Ayaan, who goes by the stage name Agni, released the track on February 20 and the celebration was hosted by Dubai Bling’s DJ Bliss.
While the event was filled with excitement, one particular moment stood out, drawing widespread attention on social media. As DJ Bliss praised Salman and his family for their unwavering support, Salman responded with a witty remark, “That’s what nepotism is”. His candid comment sparked laughter across the audience, including Ayaan himself. He continued his lighthearted take, mentioning that Ayaan’s parents Atul Agnihotri and Alvira Khan Agnihotri were “good producers” while referring to both Ayaan and his sister Alizeh, with a grin.

Ayaan had previously worked with Salman on “You Are Mine”, a track composed by Vishal Mishra. Reflecting on that collaboration, he shared in an interview that Salman had been deeply involved in the project and felt something more could be added to the song. It was then that Salman suggested Ayaan performs the rap section. Excited about the opportunity, Ayaan quickly wrote two versions of the rap within 20 minutes which Salman liked before sending him to work with Vishal Mishra on the final composition.
With “Universal Laws”, Ayaan showcases his versatility as a singer, rapper, lyricist and composer. The track, produced, mixed and mastered by Aditya Dev blends deep storytelling with energetic beats, delivering a fresh sound that highlights his evolving artistry.
