Yes, you guessed it right! We are talking about Sharmin Segal as people are trolling her by calling her a nepotism product. Sharmin is Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s niece and there are many who are claiming that she got the role not on the basis of her talent but on the basis of her relation with the famous director.
Taha Shah, the actor who played the role of Sharmin’s lover in Heeramandi has now come in support of Sharmin. During an interview, Taha Shah stated that he didn’t expect his work would be loved and praised by audiences so much because of which he feels that the audiences are unpredictable. He adds that as far as Sharmin is concerned, he has worked with her so he can say that Sharmin has given her best as an actor in the series.
Taha Shah further says that he has literally lived with Sharmin on the sets and she was always been punctual and has always tried to give her best performance. As per him, how the audiences felt about Sharmin’s performance is a different thing and he won’t be commenting on it but he is sure that Sharmin has a great heart and she was always present on the sets.
He also adds that Sharmin’s work should not be compared with the work of other actresses as they are more experienced. Taha Shah further says that Manisha Koirala has worked with some big directors and big actors of the industry and people learn over time. He is of the opinion that if people are not happy with Sharmin’s work, he is sure that Sharmin will be eager to learn and improve and she will surely do better.
