On Tuesday, passengers of SpiceJet flight got the surprise of their life when the aircraft crew danced on Bollywood tunes to celebrate the festival of colors, Holi. The crew gave performance when the flight was on the ground on Delhi airport.
What’s more, the passengers also liked their performance, cheered and praised the crew. They seemed to be extremely happy with this and termed it as complete worth of their money. Surprisingly, one passenger went on to say that SpiceJet should have charged Rs. 200 extra but they must have given gujiya (Indian sweet dish) to the passengers on this auspicious occasion as well.
The program was performed when the flight was on ground as the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is very strict when it comes to the safety of passengers and it rejected the request of an airline for a cultural program during the flight. This is what a senior DGCA officer stated “We have turned down their request. We have a zero tolerance to anything that could affect safety. We have told the airline that it can have its celebrations at the airport before boarding flyers.”
