Sushma Swaraj, the External Affairs Minister of India, is one of the most popular politicians of the country, thanks to her helping behavior and habit of responding promptly whenever someone asks for help on Twitter.
Just recently, she helped a Pakistani national who was in the dire need of transplanting liver by issuing visa and now she has come forward to help a Russian citizen who is travelling in India but facing a cash crunch.
His name is Evangelin (24) and he was seen begging at the doors of Sri Kumarakottam temple, Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu.
As per The Hindu, his passport and visa are valid. On 24th September, Evangelin reached India while it was on 12th Oct that he arrived in Kancheepuram from Chennai.
His cash and phone balance got finished while he visited few temples in the town and unfortunately, his ATM pin got locked when he was trying to withdraw cash. Seeing no other way to get money, he decided to beg, sitting at the doors of the temple.
As per a report published in Deccan Chronicle, a policeman said,
“We checked his travel documents, passport and visa. All documents are perfectly valid. He had spent all his money and was not sure how to reach Chennai.”
The Siva Kanchi police made him board a train to Chennai after giving him Rs. 500.
When Sushma Swaraj read this news, she tweeted, “Evangelin – Your country Russia is our time tested friend. My officials in Chennai will provide you all help.”

However, Evangelin didn’t pick up the call when he was called by the consulate but we are sure that he would get help at the earliest.
