There are already many controversies going on in relation to cows in the country and now a decision taken by Mahesh Chandra Sharma, a judge of Rajasthan High Court, will definitely add to the matter; however, a number of people will certainly agree with him.
The judge has asked the governments of India as well as the states to announce the cow as the national animal of India and law should be made to sentence life term to the one who kills it. Not only this, he has also talked about some benefits that we get from cows. Here’s what Mahesh Chandra Sharma told HT,
“I spoke with conscience. Our religious texts tell us how important cow is. Even its dung and urine are beneficial to us.”
Highlights Of Sharma’s Statement:
1) Cow can be called a hospital as it cures many diseases and more importantly, it is the only living being which inhales as well as exhales oxygen.
2) The urine of cow has the capability to keep liver, mind and heart healthy. Moreover, it also improves the immunity power of human body along with slowing down the ageing process.
3) As per Hindu Mythology, cow came on the Earth as the result of “Samudra Manthan” (ocean churning) and it came with Hindu Goddess Lakshmi. It is also the belief of Hindus that 33 crore Gods and Goddesses live inside cows.
4) The “cosmic” energy is absorbed by cows through their horns.
5) Cancer can be stopped from entering the blood cells with regular consumption of its milk.
6) Not just cow’s milk but also its dung is very helpful, as it kills the germs of cholera.
7) As per religious belief, if a person drinks cow urine, he/she can get rid of the sins committed in the previous birth.
8) If the walls of a house are coated with cow dung, the residents of the house will be protected from the radiations, as endorsed by a Russian scientist.
9) Cow milk has Kerotin which is helpful in producing Vitamin A in humans. Kerotin is present in the cow milk because it has 180 feet large intestine, something which no other mammal has.
10) 4,500 litres of biogas can be generated from cow dung every year and if biogas is produced from the cow dung of all the cows present in the country, India can prevent cutting of 14 crore trees and save 6.80 lakh tonnes of firewood.
What do you have to say in this regard? Do you agree with the judge?
