Asaduddin Owaisi, MP from Hyderabad and President of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen gave a controversial statement few days back when he said that he won’t speak “Bharat Mata Ki Jai”, even if knife is kept on his throat. Owaisi made this statement as he was challenging the RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, but the backlash that he has got is something that he may never have thought of.
He has been criticized right and left, not just by politicians and celebrities but common people have also slammed him on the social media. Javed Akhtar, former Rajya Sabha MP, went to the extent of calling Owaisi a “mohalla leader” and criticized him heavily in his farewell speech.
This passionate Indian also slammed Owaisi and his brother for spreading hatred in the country. He also talked about the Muslims and spoke a lot of good things about them.
