Few weeks back, we all got news about Akshay Kumar starrer PadMan clashing with Ranveer-Deepika starrer Padmaavat on the republic day weekend.
Trade experts had already predicted that the business of both the films might be affected. However, when Akshay Kumar was asked to speak about the clash, he had given a very positive response.
But today, we all came across a breaking news about PadMan being postponed. Yes, the Akshay Kumar film will not release on the 25th of January now, but will hit the screens on 9th of February.
Sources and trade experts have confirmed this postponement. Have the makers changed the date just to avoid clash with Padmaavat?
This is what famous trade expert Komal Naahta tweeted;
Breaking news: Pad Man release postponed to 9th February. Padmaavat will be solo release on 25th January
— Komal Nahta (@KomalNahta) January 19, 2018
Now that Padman has shifted the release date to 9th of January, Padmaavat makers will be relieved as there will be no competition whatsoever.
On the other hand, it’s a matter of concern for Aiyaary as the release date was shifted from January to 9th February just to avoid clashes.
Now, we will see a clash not between Padmaavat and PadMan but between Aiyaary and PadMan.
Let us wait and see how the situation at Box Office is.
