Just a day after the gruesome murder of class II student in Ryan International School in Gurugram by the bus conductor, another horrifying incident of child abuse has come to light.
This time, it has taken place in a private school where a 5-yr girl student is raped by a man who works as a peon in the school. The name of the school is Tagore Public School which is situated in the Gandhi Nagar area of Shahdara and peon is known as Vikas (40).
Vikas has been working in the school for the last three years and has also served the school in the capacity of a security guard.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police, Nupur Prasad, informed that the accused has been arrested. He sexually assaulted the girl at 11:45 am in an empty classroom and warned her of severe consequences if she told anybody about it.
Here’s what the girl’s father told ANI,
“The girl returned home in a very critical condition and told her mother about the horrific incident. The mother of the girl then informed me and we rushed her to the hospital. After the doctors observing her, they informed me to call the police and to file an FIR in this matter. I’m glad that the police have arrested the accused and would want strict action against him. The school has not yet taken any action on this matter.”
The girl was sent for counselling as she was under trauma after the incident. Police caught the accused based on the details of appearance described by the girl. She said that “a man wearing a cap” assaulted her as well as gave description of his physical attributes.
Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal also flung into action after the incident as he tweeted, “Shameful. Won’t be tolerated. Police doing its job. Ordered magsterial enquiry. Will develop protocol 4 all schools 2 ensure children safety.”

Undoubtedly, there is an extreme need to improve the safety standards of the schools as we just can’t let these pervert-minded wolves feed on our kids.
