IMDb has announced its list of the Top 10 Most Popular Indian Stars of 2024, based on page views from its 250 million monthly global visitors. The list highlights the growing influence of new-age actors alongside Bollywood’s seasoned superstars.
Contrary to the popular belief, Triptii Dimri has emerged as the No. 1 Indian star of 2024, surpassing icons like Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt. Her rise to the top is attributed to her powerful performances in three hit films “Bad Newz”, “Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video” and “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3”.
Triptii Dimri credited her fans and collaborators for this achievement as she said that it is an honour for her to get ranked at number one and she thanked her fans for this incredible support.
Deepika Padukone, celebrated for her versatility, ranked second on the list. This year marked a milestone in her personal and professional life as she embraced motherhood and debuted in Telugu cinema with “Kalki 2898 AD”. Her other significant releases “Fighter” and “Singham Again”, showcased her enduring box office appeal.
Ishaan Khatter is at the third spot, he impressed audiences worldwide with his role in the international series “The Perfect Couple”. Sharing screen space with Hollywood greats like Nicole Kidman, Ishaan’s popularity continues to soar.
Shah Rukh Khan, with two blockbuster releases this year, ranked 4th in the list. Sobhita Dhulipala secured the 5th place for her stellar performances across film and OTT platforms, while Sharvari claimed the 6th position for her breakout roles.
While the beautiful actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is at the 7th spot, Samantha Ruth Prabhu got the 8th rank, Alia Bhatt secured the 9th position and Prabhas ended at the 10th spot.
