Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced Rs. 1,000 crore for Tamil Nadu relief as it has been hit by the worst flood of the century. The most affected city has been Chennai, the cinema halls of the city and holy places have open up their doors for all those people whose houses have been submerged in water and they have no place to go.
Army has also joined the rescue operations and even the film stars of Tamil Nadu are doing whatever they can do for the flood affected people.
The role of media is also very important in this type of situation as they can make people aware of the real condition and let them know how worse is the situation and what all is being done in order to save people from dying. However, there are some news channels that won’t let go the chance of sensationalizing the news to gain TRPs and run ahead of its competitors.

One such news channel is Tez news channel which is a sister concern of India Today Group. Tez news channel try to forge the situation by showing their news anchor standing in the water as if she is reporting live from Chennai but the poor quality of graphics reveal the truth that she was shooting from the studio.
At this point, the question which strikes our mind is what was the need of creating a false picture with regard to such a serious issue?
