The IPL 2023 will always be remembered for two things for sure – first for CSK winning the trophy under MS Dhoni and second – the infamous fight between Virat Kohli and Naveen-ul-Haq which ultimately led to a face-off between Virat Kohli and former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir who is also mentor of Lucknow Super Giants.
The brawl took place during a match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants which was played at Lucknow. The Afghani cricketer Naveen-ul-Haq also took a jibe at Virat Kohli through social media platforms whenever he got the chance and this gave fodder to memers and creative online users.
Naveen-ul-Haq was pretty disappointed with his exclusion from the team which played in the Asia Cup 2023 but now he has been included in Afghanistan’s World Cup squad. Afghanistan got knocked out from the group stage of the tournament and may be this is the reason why Naveen was included in the World Cup squad.
Hashmatullah Shahidi will be leading the squad and the list of the players was announced by the Afghanistan Cricket Board with the caption, “World Cup Bound AfghanAtalan Squad, Presenting before you the AfghanAtalan squad for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 in India.”
