Security for some B-Town actors had been reduced by Mumbai police including Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan. There were about 40 celebs in the list and now Mumbai police has reduced it to around 15 people, as per the report of Indian Express. Extra security was provided to SRK after his movie “My Name Is Khan” which released in 2010, whereas security of Aamir Khan had been increased after the release of PK and protest against it.
Talking about other celebs who are removed from this list are Farah Khan, Rajkumar Hirani and Vidhu Vinod Chopra along with producers Karim Morani and Ali, whereas speaking of celebs who have been receiving extra security as earlier, Amitabh Bachchan, Lata Mangeshkar, Akshay Kumar, Dilip Kumar, Mukesh Bhatt and Mahesh Bhatt are all to mention.
As told to The Indian Express by an officer, this move is intended for conserving manpower in view of the fact that a number of officers have been assigned to celebs which is unnecessary quite often.
