A number of shameful incidents, such as rapes, murder, honor killing etc. are taking place now-a-days and the present one is not an exception to these. This time, the victim is a married lady of 25 years who had been apparently locked up, harassed and raped for more than twenty days. And this heinous crime was committed by the same man who saved her from the attempt of committing suicide, as stated by cops.
If we refer to the case as lodged by the lady, it was on March 17 that her mother rebuked her and the very thought of suicide emerged in her mind and with the same intent, she left home. As she was going, Sandeep, the so-called accused, had a tryst with her. Not only he persuaded her to change the mind but also made a promise of giving job. Further, he took her to his place and raped that very night.
After 3 days, he took her to Ghaziabad and asked to put her signature on a blank paper. She was forced and threatened for getting married to the accused. Later when she disclosed the fact of already being wed, he imprisoned her and raped daily. This continued for a period of twenty days.
She was then transferred to Faridabad and kept in a rented lodging where the lady was harassed by Sandeep and two of his accomplices prior to actually run away from there.
Saran police has lodged a case against the accused under IPC sections 344, 354 and 376(2).
