An open war is going on between the comedians Kapil Sharma and Krushna Abhishek and there is not the least doubt about it. Even Krushna admits the same but is of the opinion that in place of rivalry, they must opt for a healthy competition. This is what he told PTI, “There is no respect left as cold war was going on between us (Krushna and Kapil Sharma) since Comedy Circus. We are not friends… There is rivalry (between us).”
True, 34-yr Kapil has become quite popular at present and his fans just can’t see anyone else in his place. For the same, they showed their hatred for the Colors channel as well as Krushna’s new show which has replaced Comedy Nights With Kapil (CNWK). Nevertheless, the team of CNWK finally made the decision of leaving the channel due to the differences between Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon actor and Colors. But according to 32 years old Krushna, “I did not want him (Kapil) to leave the show (Comedy Nights with Kapil). It would have been a healthy fight between us with Comedy Nights with Kapil and Comedy Nights Bachao.”
As we informed you about the telecasting of Kapil’s new show “Comedy Style” on Sony TV, this is what Krushna has to say in this connection, “Now there will be healthy competition between us as he has a new show on a different channel.”
Undeniably, Krushna stole the show of Kapil and used his stage in an attempt to lure his audience but initially, could not succeed in attracting audience who was used to watch Kapil on every weekend; however, later Comedy Nights Live too gained response from the viewers; even though not that love and affection which they used to shower on Kapil Sharma and his team.
In the words of Krushna, “It was a popular show (Comedy Nights with Kapil). It was not easy for viewers to digest another person on the show. We got mixed reactions initially but now the TRP is good. People (stars) are calling us saying they want to come on the show.”
He added, “We were not disheartened with the response. We knew it would take time for people to accept us. We have had Deol family, Madhuri Dixit-Nene and others coming on the show. They are big stars.”
Now it will be interesting to see who wins this war; whether Kapil will be able to charm his audience as earlier or Krushna’s show will keep on getting more thumbs up from viewers!! What do you think? Share your views about it in the comments section below.
