The much awaited and much talked about debut film of Sara Ali Khan – The daughter of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh has finally released. The film is finally in cinemas and now it’s for all to come and see how promising Sara as an actress is and how entertaining this new love story is.
Kedarnath also stars Sushant Singh Rajput in lead and is directed by Abhishek Kapoor who has earlier directed films like Kai Po Che, Rock On and Fitoor.
Story And Screenplay
A Muslim guy Mansoor (Sushant Singh Rajput) is a pithoo in Kedarnath and Mukku (Sara Ali Khan) is a Hindu girl, daughter of a wealthy priest. Both of them come close during her Kedarnath visit and become romantically involved even though she is engaged to someone else already.
Meanwhile, nature strikes terror and everyone at Kedarnath finds themselves amidst a mayhem.
The first half of the film is quite promising and provides some really good romantic moments. It’s fine till the interval and just when the audience expects an equally good second half and it starts dropping and how.
The second half turns out to be an average one and quite boring at some junctures. Even though the film is well edited and short enough, it seems long due to a lot of boring moments.
Performance
Sara Ali Khan looks extremely beautiful and confident. She acts beautifully and gives an effortless performance. Sushant Singh Rajput is an excellent actor and he has shown his skills in this film as well. Supporting cast is also good.
Direction, Music and Cinematography
Abhishek Kapoor’s direction is good and he has got some really nice performances for his stars. Music serves well to the film. Cinematography is a big plus.
Overall, Kedarnath is a decent one time watch, romantic film. Go for it to enjoy the good performances and SARA ALI KHAN.
