The Box Office clash between the SRK starrer “Raees” and the Hrithik Roshan starrer “Kaabil” is neck to neck and it seems to be moving just in 1 direction i.e. Raees racing ahead and Kaabil trying hard to pick pace. In the start, there was a BIG GAP, but eventually, the gap started bridging and Kaabil started inching closer to Raees. The growth percentage of both the movies was almost similar.
Raees is the first film of 2017 to have entered the 100 crores club; even SRK says that the movie has performed beyond expectations. On the other hand, we have Kaabil, which in spite of less screens is giving stiff competition to Raees.
Till the 5th day, Raees was leading and Kaabil was almost nearing the collections. The total of 5-day collections was 93.24 crores while that of Kaabil was 67.46 crores. Let’s see how much both the movies have earned in the second week.
Raees collections.
On the 6th day itself, Raees entered the 100 crores club by collecting 8.25 crores. Even on the rest of the days i.e. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, the collections were consistent. Yes, it earned 7.52 crores, 7.10 crores, 6.25 crores and 6.60 crores respectively. The numbers showed a declining trend; let’s see how much the movie mints on the 2nd weekend. As of now, the total stands at 128.96 crores.

Kaabil collections
Kaabil got 200+ screens in the 2nd week and once again, there was a tough race. On Monday, the collections of Kaabil were 6.04 crores; a similar trend was seen on Tuesday too with 6.10 crores. However, numbers declined on Wednesday and Thursday i.e. 5.70 crores and 5.25 crores. Once again, the figures shot up on the 2nd Friday as the film collected 6.40 crores. The total as of now is 96.95 crores i.e. just 3 crores away from the 100 crores club. On Day 10 the difference between Raees & Kaabil is 20 Lakhs. Seems like Kaabil is going to overtake Raees soon.
