Almost every disease that our body suffers from shows some signs or symptoms but we tend to ignore them until and unless the need for visiting the doctor becomes a necessity.
Therefore, it is important to raise awareness about such serious diseases so that people visit a doctor and start medical treatment as the first sign of the disease shows up. No Shave November and the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge are among the examples of attempts made to increase awareness about concerned diseases.
One such serious illness is child cancer and Jeff Bezos with his fellow Amazonians started a campaign to increase awareness about it. September is the Childhood Cancer Awareness month and the e-commerce giant partners with @ACCorg to spread awareness.
Jeff Bezos along with his fellow Amazonians all over the world went to office in pyjamas to show support to the kids who are fighting cancer and to assure them that they are not alone. Kids who suffer from cancer have to live in pyjamas for months and years when they are receiving treatment. Another way by which Amazon has showed support to cancer patients is #GoGold boxes.
Jeff Bezos attended a board meeting in pyjamas today and shared 3 pics on Instagram.

The caption that he wrote is:
“Why am I wearing pajamas to an Amazon board meeting? September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month and each year Amazon partners with @ACCOrg to raise awareness of childhood cancer – second leading cause of death for kids in the U.S. between ages 4 and 14. Today, Amazonians across the globe show their support by wearing their pajamas to work – also known as #PJammin. Another way we’re raising awareness is through our special #GoGold boxes – you may receive one during September. Never have I been more comfortable at an Amazon board meeting!”

Reportedly, Amazon has made donations to two institutions and also started a Prime Air Jet for showing its support towards the cause of spreading awareness about child cancer. It has also been reported that Jeff has donated $2 billion for the purpose of helping homeless people and making preschool for kids.
That’s really so kind of Jeff Bezos! Kudos and respect to him!
