When we talk about the 5th Test match between England and India in Chennai, just 2 results were possible, India win or draw. Batsman Karun Nair struck an unbeaten 303 against England in his 3rd test innings and enabled India to reach the gigantic total of 759 for 7.
Trailing by 282 runs, England no doubt got a very good start with Jennings and Cook, who put up a 103 opening stand in Chennai’s Chidambaram stadium.
However, a miracle happened later on as Ravindra Jadeja spread his magic with 7/48; his bowling was excellent. Hence, England was limited to just 207 and India was able to enjoy a spectacular victory.
India won the innings by 75 runs and finally clinched this 5-match test 4-0. All cricket fans have been ecstatic on Twitter; here’s how they reacted…
