Get ready for a tête-à-tête with your favorite Disney characters here in India. Yes, if everything goes well India may get its very own Disneyland and a new holiday destination will be added to our list. The happiest place on earth is waiting for the Go-Ahead Nod from the Tourism board of India.
“We need consolidated land for an integrated theme park. We are hoping to attract private investors to take up the project under public-private partnership. The investors’ meet at the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) summit in Bangalore is a platform through which we can come across interested parties,” said Gurleen Kaur, vice-president, infrastructure development corporation, tourism department.
A California like Disney-Theme Park would cost Rs. 100 crore and approximately 800-1000 acres of land is required. The proposed location suggested is either Devanahalli or along Bangalore-Tumakuru road. But the projects is still under pipe line, and if it happens then this might be the biggest theme park in the country.
Private investors are being lured to join hand in hand so as to collaborate and make this dream come true. Let’s just hope this project comes into live, and obviously one more reason to rejoice travelling in India.
