Virat Kohli made 47 off 38, while KL Rahul finished strong with 68 off 43, taking India to 285/9 in just 34.4 overs.
Chasing a modest target of 95, India completed the task in just 17.2 overs with seven wickets remaining. Yashasvi Jaiswal top-scored with 51, leading India to a comprehensive victory. While the young Indian cricketer Yashasvi Jaiswal was adjudged as the Player of the Match, the veteran Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin was declared as the Player of the Series.
India’s dominant win continues their impressive home record, with their last series loss coming in 2012-13 against England under Alastair Cook’s captaincy.
