The clash between India and Pakistan was certainly one of the biggest matches of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 and though the Pakistani team had an upper hand for the majority of the match yet at the end, it was team India which proved its supremacy by defeating its arch-rival.
The match was played yesterday at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, New York and after winning the toss, Pakistan chose to bowl first. The decision was absolutely correct as the Pakistani bowlers wrapped up the Indian team at the score of 119 runs in 19 overs (the match was reduced to 19 overs each due to rain).
India’s start was disastrous as India’s star batter, Virat Kohli got out at the score of just 4 runs after giving a catch to Usman Khan on the bowling of Naseem Shah. The Indian skipper Rohit Sharma was also not able to play a big innings as he got out at the score of 13 runs but Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant continued with his good form and played a good knock of 42 runs. However, Pant didn’t get the much needed support from the other end as the wickets kept falling regularly barring Axar Patel who spent some time on the wicket and scored 20 runs. While Ravindra Jadeja and Jasprit Bumrah got out for a golden ducks, the remaining five batters were also not able to touch the double digit mark.
As the Indian team was facing trouble in dealing with the Pakistani bowling, online users were giving their reactions on X, here are some selected ones:

Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf took 3-3 wickets each, Mohammad Amir dismissed two batters and Shaheen Shah Afridi took 1 wicket.
However, the tables turned upside down as the Indian bowlers performed better than the Pakistani bowlers and restricted the Pakistani team at the score of 113/7 because of which India won the match by 6 runs.
With this win, India is now at the top of the points table of Group A and now it will be more difficult for Pakistan to make its place in the Super Eight as it was Pakistan’s second defeat in the tournament.
