The famous YouTuber-choreographer Dhanashree Verma made her first social media post on Wednesday evening following her family’s firm denial of the widely circulated alimony claims. Taking to Instagram, she shared a series of pictures of herself while seeking blessings from Lord Shiva on the occasion of Maha Shivratri.
She captioned the pics as, “With Lord Shiva’s blessings, I’m Unstoppable… I feel strong and fearless, Shoot diaries for you, The love and respect at work is unreal. Har har mahadev”.
This post comes amid speculation surrounding her divorce from the Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal. Reports had recently suggested that she was demanding Rs 60 crore in alimony. However, her family swiftly rejected these claims. A family member issued a statement recently, calling the reports “baseless” and expressing disappointment over the spread of misleading information. They emphasised that Dhanashree had never made such a demand from Chahal.
Married since 2020, Dhanashree Verma and Yuzvendra Chahal are currently undergoing divorce proceedings. Dhanashree’s lawyer confirmed that the legal process is ongoing but refrained from commenting further, stating that the matter is sub-judice. The lawyer also urged the media to verify facts before reporting, as numerous misleading claims have been circulating regarding the case.
