The smartphone has really changed people’s life, but one such case that is making round from Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, is the murder of young women because of mere smartphone password. Yes! A couple residing in Jhansi had a fight over wife’s smartphone password, after which her husband assigned few men from Kanpur to kill his wife. The man later presented the murder as robbery, which Jhansi police revealed after a thorough investigation.
Smartphone Password- The Killer
According to the report, Vineet Kumar said in the year 2008, they both (his wife Poonam and himself) met at Bundelkhand University while pursuing Hotel Management course and married by going against to their respective families. Due to work, he had to visit Jhansi and during which his wife gave birth to a baby girl. However, things went sour when he started feeling that his wife has started neglecting him.
To overcome this problem, he presented her with a smartphone which she later locked with a password. Whenever he use to visit and asked for the password of the smartphone, she used to ignore. This created a rift between two and it grew further when she started to ignore their daughter. On the night of 29/30th August, Vineet gave the contract to two people including his friend Laxman Kumar to kill Poonam.
The Murder Investigation:
According to the police, initially Vineet declined to accept the crime, but after the stern action, he agreed. SP Dinesh Kumar Singh said, looking at the graveness of the case, Jhansi SSP Abdul Hamid has been appointed to solve the case. Presently, Vineet and other two other murderers Laxman Kumar and Kamal Kumar are under arrest.
