A lot of cricket is being played nowadays but the most important tournaments in the cricket world are the ICC tournaments. In simple words, an ICC tournament is a chance for every team to prove their superiority over the other teams because almost all the big teams participate in these tournaments.

As of March 2025, the hierarchy of men’s international cricket, based on the number of International Cricket Council (ICC) trophies won, is led by Australia with 10 titles. India follows with 7, while the West Indies have secured 5 and Pakistan, Sri Lanka and England each hold 3 ICC trophies. New Zealand has claimed 2 titles and South Africa has won 1.
1. Australia (10):
Australia’s dominance is evident with six ICC Cricket World Cup victories in 1987, 1999, 2003, 2007, 2015 and 2023. It has also won the ICC Champions Trophy twice, in 2006 and 2009, the ICC T20 World Cup in 2021 and the ICC World Test Championship in 2023.
2. India (7):
India’s achievements include two ICC Cricket World Cup titles in 1983 and 2011, three ICC Champions Trophy wins in 2002 (shared with Sri Lanka), 2013 and 2025, and two ICC T20 World Cup victories in 2007 and 2024.
3. West Indies (5):
The West Indies have won the ICC Cricket World Cup twice, in 1975 and 1979, the ICC Champions Trophy in 2004, and the ICC T20 World Cup in 2012 and 2016.
4. Pakistan (3):
Pakistan’s ICC titles comprise of the ICC Cricket World Cup in 1992, the ICC T20 World Cup in 2009, and the ICC Champions Trophy in 2017.
5. Sri Lanka (3):
Sri Lanka’s successes include the ICC Cricket World Cup in 1996, the ICC Champions Trophy in 2002 (shared with India), and the ICC T20 World Cup in 2014.
6. England (3):
England has secured the ICC Cricket World Cup in 2019 and the ICC T20 World Cup in 2010 and 2022.
7. New Zealand (2):
New Zealand’s two ICC titles include the ICC Champions Trophy in 2000 and the ICC World Test Championship in 2021.
8. South Africa (1):
South Africa’s sole ICC trophy is the ICC Champions Trophy, which they won in 1998.
