What will be your plans if by the age of 24, you have completed your MBBS, also cracked your IAS examinations and had served as an assistant collector of Jabalpur for 2 years? Obviously keep flowing with the tide and enjoy the smooth sail but Roman Saini is not the one who does obvious things!
He served as an assistant collector of Jabalpur for 2 years after completing his MBBS and now he has resigned to do something which his heart is telling him to do. He with his 2nd Year MBBS Programme Friend Gaurav Pal decided to help those students who are not able to fulfill their dreams due to monetary constraints.
They both provided a platform called Unacademy on YouTube to the students and uploaded videos of lectures for all those who want to become doctors, civil servants, computer programmers and also for those who want to become experts in foreign languages. The Unacademy has received 64000 likes of the social media website Facebook in addition to having 20000 followers on micro-blogging site Twitter. The online videos have been seen by 1.1 crore users and the happy news is that ten followers have cracked the examinations of civil services.
In the words of Roman Saini, “My focus is on making quality education accessible and I think the offline mode is not the way to achieve it. That is why I decided to pursue fulltime the concept of Unacademy”.
