The Indian cricket team has been performing pretty well in the ongoing T20 World Cup as it has remained unbeaten till now and the Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya has played an important role in team India’s success till now.
Hardik Pandya had a disappointing IPL 2024 as his team Mumbai Indians was at the bottom of the points table and he was also not able to make any impact with both the bat and the ball. However, it seems that he is making up for it in the international event and till now he has contributed with the bat as well as the ball.
In India-Bangladesh clash, Hardik Pandya scored an unbeaten fifty and also took a wicket for which he was adjudged as the Player of the Match.
During the post-match presentation, Hardik Pandya talks about his performances, he says that Jasprit Bumrah and he talk about the fact that he doesn’t try to take wickets, he just tries to bowl good balls as per what is required for the team and in the process, if he gets wicket, it is fine. He added that in this sport, there is nothing like your own performance and it is all about bowling the right ball in the right situation.
Hardik Pandya further says that the same thing goes for batting, he bats as per the situation after seeing what is required for the team and how many wickets the team has lost. He added that his innings against Afghanistan helped him in getting confidence and in the match against Bangladesh, he knew that there was a chance for the batters to score so he played smart cricket and got benefitted.
As far as the current situation is concerned, India has reached the semi-finals after defeating Australia and Australia is out of the T20 World Cup 2024 after losing consecutive matches against Afghanistan and India.
The four teams which have reached the semi-finals are India, Afghanistan, South Africa and England.
