A dramatic turn of events unfolded in Bihar’s Siwan district when a man attempting to flee from a hospital fired at a security guard, only for the bullet to strike an unsuspecting patient instead. The incident took place shortly after Saddam Hussain, a criminal who had just surrendered in court, was brought to the hospital for a routine medical checkup. Authorities believe the shooter may have been targeting Saddam Hussain.
The situation escalated when hospital security spotted Arbaaz Alam entering the women’s washroom. Carrying a handgun in plain sight, he was confronted by a guard who attempted to stop him. When Arbaaz Alam resisted, the guard struck him with a baton, triggering a desperate escape attempt.
As Arbaaz Alam fled through the hospital premises, the guard chase, leading to a tense pursuit outside. In an attempt to evade capture, Alam fired his weapon at the pursuing guard but the bullet missed and instead hit a patient, later identified as Alok Tiwari. He was immediately rushed for medical treatment.
The commotion drew the attention of additional security personnel stationed at the hospital gate, who joined the chase and successfully apprehended Alam. The police were quick to take custody of the suspect, recovering a motorcycle and two bullets from him. Investigations are underway to determine the motive behind the attack and whether Saddam Hussain was indeed the intended target.
