After a lot of talks and discussions regarding Triple Talaq, the Union Government has finally declared it as a criminal offence.
On the first day of the Winter Session of Parliament, the government cleared the suggested bill and announced the instant triple talaq or talaq-e-biddat a crime.
The proposed law would give power to the victim to approach a magistrate seeking “subsistence allowance” for herself and minor children.
After the new law was announced, it got almost positive response on social media. Twitterati loved and appreciated the decision of government.

Modi Govt clears the historic bill making the Muslim practice of #TripleTalaq, a non-bailable criminal commence. Big relief for Muslim women who have been getting treated as cattle for centuries.

Well, this one is indeed a welcome decision from the government and really worth appreciating. Now we really hope to see strict laws against more issues prevailing inside our society on the name of culture.
What are your thoughts on it?
