Yes, that’s right! Jani from Finland got to know about a security bug in Instagram, as reported by VentureBeat.com which is a technology site. The bug he found required individuals to be of minimum 13 years of age prior to sign up and it enables him to remove a comment on the social media platform.
As per the report, “He reported the bug by email, offered proof by deleting a message on one of Facebook’s test Instagram accounts and it was fixed in February. Facebook paid him the bug bounty in March.”
Jani said, “I would have been able to remove anyone, even Justin Bieber.”
Jani wants to pursue security researcher as a profession, as he said, “It would be my dream job. Security is very important.” With the reward, he purchased computers, a new bike and football gear.
