Renowned for her captivating performances in movies such as “Swarnakamalam”, “Rishyasringan”, “Seethara” and “Chhatrapati,” actress Bhanupriya has graced the silver screen across multiple languages. Her allure, acting prowess and exceptional dance skills have resulted in her garnering a huge fan base and also established her as a leading figure in the industry.
Dubbed as the “dancing sensation of the South,” Bhanupriya’s affinity for dance blossomed in her childhood, leading her to master the classical art of Kuchipudi. Reflecting on her journey, she once remarked that her early passion for dance became her greatest asset in cinema.
Now 58, Bhanupriya has stepped away from the limelight, residing in Chennai with her mother and brother. In a candid interview, she disclosed her battle with memory loss, a struggle that began following her husband’s d*mise in 2018 due to heart attack. She stated that she is facing the problem of memory loss because of which sometimes she used to forget her lines.
Bhanupriya married digital graphics engineer Adarsh Kaushal in 1998 and the couple was blessed with a daughter Abhinaya who was born in 2002. Contrary to some reports, Bhanupriya clarified that she and her husband were not divorced; they simply lived in different cities due to professional commitments.
Currently, Bhanupriya finds solace in home life, immersing herself in reading and daily chores. She expressed contentment in this phase, stating that she is enjoying life staying at home. Her most recent cinematic appearance was a minor role in the romantic drama “Natyam,” directed by Sandhya Raju.
