Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been making headlines for past some time for all the wrong reasons as many old actors have left the show and some actors have also leveled serious allegations on the makers.
Recently, an incident related to lead actor Dilip Joshi who plays Jethalal Champaklal Gada in the famous sitcom has come to light. As per the reports, Dilip Joshi had a big argument with the show’s creator Asit Kumarr Modi in early August. The argument started because Dilip asked for a few days off but felt ignored by Asit Modi. When Dilip tried to discuss his request, Asit Modi avoided him which upset the actor and the situation got so tense that it nearly turned into physical fight.
A source revealed that it was the last day of Kush Shah on the sets and Dilip Joshi was waiting for Asit Modi to discuss about his leaves but Asit went straight to meet Kush after arriving on the sets which made Dilip a little upset. It is being said that they both got into heated argument, Dilip grabbed Asit’s collar and even threatened to leave the show. However the good thing was that Asit Modi managed to calm down Dilip Joshi. The source also mentioned that this wasn’t the first clash between Dilip and Asit on the sets and they have argued earlier as well. During a shoot in Hong Kong, a big fight broke out between them but their differences were resolved with the help of Gurucharan Singh Sodhi.
Well, now Dilip Joshi has reacted to the reports of his fight with Asit Kumarr Modi and he not only called these rumours fake but also expressed disappointment over the spread of such rumours.
In a statement, Dilip Joshi stated, “I just want to clear the air about all these rumours going around. There have been some stories in the media about me and Asit Bhai that are completely false, and it really saddens me to see such things being said…It’s disheartening to see negativity being spread about something that has brought so much joy to so many for so many years. Every time such rumours pop up, it feels like we’re constantly explaining that they are completely untrue. It’s tiring, and it’s frustrating because it’s not just about us—it’s about all the fans who love the show and get upset reading these things.”
Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is one of India’s longest-running sitcoms, airing for more than 16 years now and Dilip Joshi has been a part of it since the start. Over the years, many of his co-stars like Disha Vakani, Shailesh Lodha, Raj Anadkat, Bhavya Gandhi, Gurucharan Singh and Jennifer Mistry have left the show.
What do you have to say in regard to the whole fiasco? Is everything fine in TMKOC?
