Sonakshi starrer ‘Akira’ isn’t doing that great at the box office. Yes, on the first day, the collections were very low, but were expected to pick pace on the weekend; However, that didn’t happen too…
Owing to a nationwide strike on Friday, the 1st day collections were hampered a lot. Even on the weekend, the movie garnered very poor collections thereby disappointing the makers!
Now, the 3rd day collections are out; let us see what Taran Adarsh has to say….

Now, the collections have showed a slight improvement on Sunday. Yes, the movie could collect 6.20 crores on the 3rd day, thereby bringing the total to 16.65 crores. Even though the movie has a long weekend release (Ganesh Chaturthi) it hasn’t done that great. Now as compared to A Flying Jatt, which also enjoyed a 4 day weekend, the collections are definitely bad. While the Sonakshi starrer could manage just 16.65 crores, the Tiger Shroff starrer garnered 29.45 crores on the opening weekend.
In reality, the movie is very good, and it highlights the issue of sexual abuse done to women. May be people are not used to such content and hence the response is poor. However, the movie has been made beautifully and has a deep meaning. Do hit the theaters and don’t miss this women-oriented flick.
Day 1 – 5.15 crores!
Day 2- 5.30 crores!
Day 3- 6.20 crores!
Total – 16.65 crores!
