One of the most famous couples of the country, Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and choreographer-influencer Dhanashree Verma have been at the center of speculation regarding their separation.
For months, social media was abuzz with cryptic posts hinting at trouble in their marriage. While reports suggested that the couple had finalised their divorce at the Bandra Family Court on Thursday, Dhanashree’s lawyer has now refuted these claims, clarifying that the legal proceedings are still ongoing.
Addressing the media on Friday, Aditi Mohan, Dhanashree’s legal representative, emphasised that the matter remains sub-judice and she urged responsible reporting, highlighting the circulation of misleading information.
Despite conflicting reports about the court proceedings, sources indicate that Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree have been living separately for the past 18 months. The couple, when asked about the reasons behind their separation, cited compatibility issues as the primary cause.
Ahead of the reported court hearing, both Chahal and Dhanashree took to social media, sharing messages that many interpreted as reflections on their personal struggles. Chahal’s post spoke about divine protection, suggesting gratitude for unseen blessings, while Dhanashree shared a message about finding peace through faith and surrendering worries to a higher power.
Yuzvendra Chahal posted, “God has protected me more times than I can count. So I can only imagine the times I’ve been rescued that I don’t even know about. Thank you, God, for always being there, even when I don’t know it. Amen.”

Dhanashree Verma wrote, “From stressed to blessed. Isn’t it amazing how God can turn our worries and trials into blessings? If you’re stressing about something today, know that you have a choice. Though neither Chahal nor Dhanashree explicitly mentioned their divorce, the undertone of their statements seemed to resonate with the ongoing developments in their personal lives.
