The ace comedian Kapil Sharma is all set to make a grand comeback with his team for the third season of The Great Indian Kapil Show which is aired on OTT and it has already generated immense excitement among fans.
During the announcement event, Kapil Sharma shared amusing anecdotes, gave hints about what’s to come and made a surprising revelation about the British band Coldplay expressing interest in appearing on the show.
Coldplay, known for their frequent concerts in India and a massive fan following, reportedly reached out via email, hoping to be part of the comedy series. Kapil humorously recalled the unexpected offer, remarking that while fans were scrambling for concert tickets, the band itself wanted to be on his show. He jokingly admitted that they would have welcomed guests but the show was not running at that time. With his characteristic wit, he made a lighthearted plea to Netflix to ensure the show continues.
When Maniesh Paul inquired about what viewers could expect from the new season, Kapil took a dig at himself, referring to his long-running history with television series. He quipped that while it might be Season 3 for the audience, for him and his team, it was just another episode, given their habit of working on 200-episode series that only end when an internal fight breaks out.
The show’s previous seasons featured Kapil Sharma as the host, alongside a talented ensemble cast including Archana Puran Singh, Kiku Sharda, Rajiv Thakur, Krushna Abhishek and Sunil Grover. With a mix of humour, celebrity interactions and unexpected surprises, the upcoming season promises to bring even more laughter to audiences.
