At 3.30 today afternoon, an earthquake whose intensity was measured 6.1 at the Richter Scale has been experienced in Srinagar. The earthquake was also experienced in Lahore, Islamabad and some parts of North Pakistan.
One of the most disastrous earthquakes that have happened this year was in Nepal. It came on 25th April, it was measured 7.8 at the richter scale and it killed 9000 people leaving 23000 injured. The tremors were felt in the Indian states of Assam, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Gujarat, West Bengal, Sikkim, Jharkhand, Karnataka and also in the National Capital region, which is the area around the Indian Capital New Delhi.
After that earthquake there were series of aftershocks, some of which were not so big while some were dangerous including the second major earthquake which came on 12 May 2015 with the intensity of 7.3 at the richter scale.
There is not much information about how many people died, injured in this earthquake and we will keep you updating about it.
