We got to see a bizarre thing yesterday in the match between Delhi Daredevils and Gujarat Lions at Kanpur; we are talking about the very same run-out of Rishabh Pant which you found way too funny.
Delhi had to chase a score of 195 and to do so, they focused only on one thing i.e. good batting. The team was highly dependent on young talent Rishabh Pant, who had displayed excellence in previous matches.
Sadly, he got out at a wrong time and in a wrong way; his run-out was very unfortunate & shocked his fans. When Rishabh Pant smashed a 4 on the very 1st ball, the team’s confidence was boosted.
However, no one knew that Pant will get a brain fade moment from Suresh Raina, the Captain of Gujarat Lions. On the 2nd delivery itself, Pant was run-out and that too in a very weird manner. What happened was that the ball hit Pant’s pads, due to which the Gujarat Lions team appealed for LBW; the appeal confused him so much that he literally forgot that he’s out of the crease. Taking this as a golden opportunity, Suresh Raina directly hit the stumps and sent Pant back to the pavilion.

Too occupied it seems!
What an embarrassing dismissal that for Pant. Too occupied with his injury.
