Social media networks are used for various purposes, such as to stay in touch, share photos of special moments, kill spare time or meet new people but some rich kids are using it for showing off their wealth. In fact, they have a popular blog on Instagram by the name of Rich Kids of Instagram.
Even more amazingly, these wealthy kids now have a photo sharing app which is exclusively designed for them; however, they will need to pay $1,000 per month for using it.
The app has been named as Rich Kids, signing up is free and can be done through Facebook account but paying membership fee is necessary if the user wants to publish photos of their luxurious lifestyle.
Many non-wealthy users have also garnered huge fan following by posting fake photos but now it won’t be possible as only those people who can pay the fees will be able to use it.
The mission statement of the app very explicitly explains the purpose of creating it,
“We created something different. A new social network where our members can really stand out and be visible in an elegant and meaningful way.”
CEO Juraj Ivan told this to The Next Web,
“Share their life with other users and build a true fan base. Only members of Rich Kids can share photos. To become a member, user has to subscribe to Rich Kids Membership. To ensure the quality and exclusivity of our members, the membership is set to be $1,000 per month.”
He has also said that one-third of the membership fees will be used to provide education to poor kids.
A list has been published by The Daily Mail, which includes the names of rich young people who are already active on the app. It includes son of a famous fashion designer and heiress of Ukraine.
