Recently, a shocking incident took place in Alaska Airlines ASA 1282 flight which was flying from Portland, Oregon to Ontario, Canada as the emergency exit door got blown out mid-air. The Boeing 737-9 MAX aircraft went upto 16K feet before the incident happened and luckily the pilot was able to make an emergency landing at Portland.
Some items and phones got sucked out in the mid-air; recently an iPhone was found on the side of the road and surprisingly, it was perfectly fine and in a working condition. The iPhone had a case for protection and it seems to be iPhone 14 Pro or iPhone 15 Pro.
An X user, Seanathan Bates took to the micro-blogging site and posted some photos along with the caption, “Found an iPhone on the side of the road… Still in airplane mode with half a battery and open to a baggage claim for #AlaskaAirlines ASA1282 Survived a 16,000 foot drop perfectly in tact! When I called it in, Zoe at @NTSB said it was the SECOND phone to be found. No door yet”

Meanwhile, the National Transportation Safety Board has revealed that the door which got blown mid-air has also been found, a teacher named Bob contacted them with photos and told them that he found it in his backyard.
The good thing is that all the 174 passengers and 6 crew members were safe and no casualty took place but it must have been a horrifying experience.
