Firstly, we would like to let you know that this short film is not brought by some regular film makers or veterans. In fact, a group of 15 Infosys employees who were bored from their regular day to day IT work decided to make their first short film. After working for several weeks and weekends (you know the importance of weekends in an IT employee’s life) they finally created THE WEDDING SAREE.
The wedding saree is a hard hitting short film on India’s orthodox culture about marriage and place of women in today’s society. The story basically revolves around a young woman who struggles to shape her identity in her marriage. Then this typical male dominant society and her husband forces her to take a step which no one would have thought off.
