Safety for woman in Indian Railways has always been an issue, and if a woman is travelling alone then the probability increases many folds. This is what happened to a woman passenger a couple of days back.
Namrata Mahajan, who was travelling alone in Shalimar Mumbai Train, got help from Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu as she tweeted her discomfort from an unknown male passenger to Railway Minister.

The tweet was immediately noticed by a senior official and she was immediately contacted.

It was then just matter of few minutes, that Ministry Of Railways reached out to help her.

40 minutes later when the train reached Bhusaval station. She was immediately attended by RPF Jawan. To be thankful, nothing went wrong in that time and the male passenger was shifted to another coach as he had a valid ticket.
Happy and Satisfied with the immediate response and quick help from Railway Ministry, she thanked the minister.
