True, humanity is the biggest religion in the world but scarcely found at the present time. In such a selfish and self-centered era, a restaurant in Kochi called Pappada Vada has come up with an excellent thought of providing food to the homeless and needy for free.
The restaurant has installed a public fridge in which individuals will be able to leave food. Positioned in Kaloor Kathrikadavu road, this refrigerator named “Nanma Maram” functions 24 hours a day and is accessible by anyone and everyone whether individuals want to keep food in it or take food packets out.
What’s more, 50 food packets would be stocked by the restaurant everyday and the ones who don’t have food or can’t afford it can access the fridge and satisfy their hunger. The restaurant will be responsible for the functioning of the refrigerator and has made a request to the citizens that they bring extra food and keep it in Nanma Maram.
However, there are several conditions of stocking food in the fridge, such as it should be fresh and cleanly packed; food’s preparation date should be mentioned etc.

By installing a public refrigerator, Pappada Vada is intended for preserving food which gets wasted unnecessarily. Additionally, it will be used for the right purpose too this way and due to the “great act of charity”, not just a body but a soul would be satisfied.
